Children & Young People with Disabilities Register for 0 to 25-year-olds
Did you know that?
The Childrens Act 1989 requires all local authorities to keep a register of children and young people with disabilities to help with planning and monitoring services.
Here at Central Bedfordshire Council, we are working towards an automatic sign up on receipt of Assessment or EHCP but in the meantime, please complete the consent form for your child/young person to be recorded onto the Disability Register.
The parent/carer or young person can expect to receive an email confirmation of their entry onto the Register. Feedback has indicated that this has been useful to prove disability whilst out and about in the community. After 2 years a renewal will be sent to ensure our records continue to remain data compliant.
Further details and the consent form can be found on Central Bedfordshire Council’s website.
