Blakelands Lodge Care Home
All events are free entry and refreshments will be served.
- Chatty Café – Tuesday afternoons 1.30pm – 3.30pm
Delicious homemade cakes and a chat in the tea room
- Dementia Café – Last Tuesday of the month 1.30pm – 3.30pm
An opportunity for individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer’s, as well as their carers, to enjoy a safe space to have fun together and receive support. Guest Speakers
- Stay & Play – Thursday mornings 10.30am – 12.00pm
Weekly parent and baby/ toddler group. Plenty of toys to play with and the chance to meet the residents and staff.
- Knit and Natter – Thursday Afternoons 2.00pm
An afternoon of knitting, chatting and laughs. A good cuppa and natter guaranteed.
- Carers Cinema Morning – Saturday mornings 10.30am
Enjoy a weekly movie in our warm and welcoming cinema room, for parents and children. Places are limited, please call to book 01234 987310
St Mary’s Church
No charge for attending.
- St Mary’s Art and Craft Group – Wednesday 10.00am – 12.00pm
What do we do? Most of us paint; usually watercolours but we also have card making, knitting, crochet, sewing and sketching. We also do a fair amount of chatting! None of us consider ourselves experts and we learn from each other.
We bring our own materials but are very happy to share with any newcomers
- Wednesday Teas – Wednesday 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Enjoy a chat or catch-up over a cuppa. Meet new people in a warm and friendly environment.
- Tea and Tots – 2nd and 4th Friday of the month 9.30am – 11am
Join us for a friendly parents and toddler group at the church for singing, crafts, play and even some snacks! This is a free group, but a donation is requested for snacks.
Vale Community Church
- The Table – Tuesday from 4.30pm. No need to book
A free weekly community meal, hosted by Vale Community Church at Marston Moreteyne Community Centre.
