Bedfordshire Disability Sports Festival
Sunday 20 September 2026, 10 am to 4 pm, John Bunyan Sports Centre, MK42 9TS
Bedfordshire Disability Sports Festival is a free event for children with physical disabilities in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.
On the day there will be a number of stalls with different sporting activities and sports equipment providers.
There will also be an exciting opportunity to participate in some of the sports in the showcase arena!

Starting school is a big milestone, and we’d love to hear about your experience of getting your child ready for their first day.Your feedback will help shape future information, advice and support for families across Central Bedfordshire.The survey only takes a few minutes to complete.

Supporting Healthy Relationships
Being a parent carer can bring many different experiences, including challenges, new perspectives and moments of joy and achievement. Every family’s journey is different, and relationships can sometimes be affected when families are managing additional pressures or navigating change.
If you feel that you or your partner would benefit from some additional support, there is help available to families across Central Bedfordshire and Luton. Support is available whether you are experiencing difficulties in your relationship or simply want to strengthen communication and maintain a healthy relationship.

Free Autumn Term Training & Events for Parent Carers!
SNAP Parent Carer Forum (SNAP PCF) has released its upcoming schedule of training and events for the Autumn Term 2026. These sessions are completely free for parent carers in Central Bedfordshire who are members of SNAP PCF, and cover a wide range of supportive topics, including:
- ADD-vance Tips and Tools for Positive Behaviour (Online) – 29th Sept
- PDA Society – PDA for Parent Carers (Online, 2-part session) – 2nd & 9th Oct
- ADD-vance Supporting Dads (Online) – 12th Oct
- Biggleswade Roadshow (In-person drop-in to meet professionals) – 21st Oct
- ADD-vance Understanding ADHD for Parent/Carers of Girls (Online) – 12th Nov
- British Dyslexia Association: Supporting your child with dyslexia (Online) – 27th Nov
Note: Online ADD-vance sessions will also be recorded and available to watch for 7 days after the event for those who book!
